Tao Zhang operates Fence Ledger. This page describes what the site does with information, in plain terms.

What we do not do

• There are no accounts. You cannot sign up, and we do not ask who you are.
• There is no server-side database. We store nothing about you.
• Your project measurements are never sent to us. Every calculation runs in your browser, and the numbers you type never leave the device.
• We do not sell personal information.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage to remember a few conveniences between visits:

• preferred unit system
• locally entered material prices

This stays in your browser. It is not transmitted anywhere, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

Advertising and measurement

The site is supported by advertising. Where enabled, these third-party services may set cookies or similar identifiers and process information about your visit:

• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement
• Google AdSense — advertising, including personalised advertising where permitted

None of these load before you have been asked. Consent is handled by a certified consent management platform, which determines what your region requires and asks accordingly. Until it reports an answer, advertising and analytics scripts do not load at all — and if it never loads, they never load. Refusing does not restrict any part of the calculator.

Where you have granted consent, Google may use information to serve personalised advertising. You can review and change your choice at any time through the consent controls on this site, and manage Google's own advertising settings at adssettings.google.com.

Server logs

Like any website, requests reach a hosting provider, which keeps short-lived operational logs including IP address and user agent. These are used to serve the site and to detect abuse, not to build a profile of you.

Children

This is a tool for planning fence projects and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

• Change or withdraw consent at any time using the consent controls on this site.
• Clear local storage through your browser to remove remembered preferences.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because the site holds no accounts and no database, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve — but you can write to us at the address below.
